You may know that Pinterest is one of the best sources of traffic for websites and bloggers. I have contacted my good friend Cindy Follonier and I can tell you that according to our Google Analytics, Pinterest by far is the best source of social traffic, even more than Instagram and Facebook!
If you’re not promoting your blog or website using Pinterest, you need to start! At first, I used to manage my Pinterest manually, but over the past few months, I’ve found that Tailwind is an amazing tool for Pinterest Marketing!
I want to explain and review Tailwind so you will know how it’s worked for me and will possibly work for you!
Tailwind: The Best Option for Pinterest Scheduling
Tailwind is a fantastic Pinterest marketing tool that is full of amazing features! Tailwind has been “approved” by Pinterest, so don’t worry, you are not going to loose your account or pins because you’re using an external application. Something cool, you can use for FREE Tailwind and schedule your first 100 pins by signing in with your Pinterest account at any time!
Tailwind has a functionalities going on. The Dashboard is where you will start when register and connect your Pinterest account, you can see super easily a small report of how you’ve been doing in the last days. The analytics offered on Tailwind are much more powerful than Pinterest Analytics.
The analytics section allows you to see your trends for followers, pins, repins, and likes on a weekly basis. The tool allows you to track your pins’ engagement rate. Engagement is a value measured by the amount of repins you receive (is quite interesting value to analyse. The higher the engagement, the better you’re doing!
Creating Your Schedule
You’ve maybe heard that there is a number you should choose when it comes to pins per day. I’m not agree about that, but right now I’m pinning about 5-10 pins per day and it looks it works well. I used to pin a lot more, but something awesome about Tailwind is that it notifies you the best times that you should pin, based on your analytics Pinterest data. This is amazing!
With the annual plan subscription, you get unlimited pins so you can pin as far ahead as you want.
Creating Board Lists
Another cool feature that’s quite new is that you can make pin scheduling easier by creating board lists. If you have pictures from your website or blog that you want to share to different groups, create a board list! That way you can pin to different groups at the same time or you change the pinning interval. A 1-day pinning interval seems to be working very well, especially as I join more relevant boards.
Schedule Pins With Tailwind
If you have a pin on Pinterest that you would like to schedule to one of your boards, just hover over the pin and click on the blue-winged Tailwind logo between the send and like buttons. You can look at the image closer, click on it, and there will be a Schedule button next to the Pin it.
Once you click on the button, a new dialog box will appear and you can choose one or multiple boards to repin it, don’t forget to write in a description for the pin if there isn’t one already, and add it to your scheduling.
Pinning Images From Any Website with the Browsers Extension
Something really cool that include this tool is that you can use Tailwind to schedule the post of any image online! I usually use it all the time to share interesting content with my followers.
Unfortunately, there’s no option to schedule pins when using Pinterest’s mobile app.
Tailwind App Subscription Plans
The good thing about Tailwind is all that it offers. Right now I’m subscribed to the Annual Plus Plan. Here are the regular membership options:
